Tow away driving gives you the opportunity of using your own truck to haul towable units to their destination while enjoying the open road and the freedom of being your own boss. You can work as much or as little as you want , and you can choose the routes that you take.
Apply now with lower experience requirements:
6-month experience for CDL drivers, 3-month experience for Non-CDL.
Flexibility
Towaway driving offers a flexible schedule, as you can work from anywhere; and non-forced dispatch, letting you choose which loads to take and where to go.
Travel
Towaway drivers deliver units across the U.S., a great way to see the country at your own pace and explore places that you might not have the chance to see otherwise.
Income
Towaway driving can be more profitable than driveaway. Higher rates, fuel discounts and sleeping in the cab while traveling can help towaway drivers save money.
Driver Requirements
- Must be at least 23 years of age, for insurance requirements
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must have or willing to get a DOT physical
- License. A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) is preferred, but not required. At a minimum, a driver must have the proper for-hire license for their state.
- Experience. Must have verifiable experience pulling RVs, or 30-ft or longer trailers; 6-months min, CDL; 3-months min. Non-CDL.
- DOT Number. Pinnacle does not sign on drivers with their own DOT number. Pinnacle contractors drive under PInnacle DOT number.
Truck Requirements
A 2010 or newer model ¾- or 1-ton pickup. Older trucks may be accepted upon insurance approval.
Qualified trucks, similar to:
3/4-ton Chevrolet Silverado 2500, 3/4-ton GMC Sierra or Ram 2500; 3/4-ton Ford Super Duty F-250; 1-ton Chevrolet Silverado, 1-ton GMC Sierra, 1-ton Ram 3500, 1-ton Ford F-350.
Half-ton trucks don’t qualify:
Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Ford F-150, Ford F-150 Raptor, GMC Sierra 1500, Nissan Titan, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra.

- Your First Run
Your first run can be scheduled as soon as your road test has ended. Our dispatch team will help you plan your trip. You will receive 50% advance on your run at dispatch and the remainder the same day the vehicle is delivered.
